Planmeca Viso™ is our flagship CBCT unit. It is an ideal combination of premium image quality and high-end usability. The unit is an impressive step forward in the evolution of cone beam imaging.
The Planmeca Viso product family consists of two fantastic CBCT units. They both offer outstanding image quality and the same great features. The units only differ in their volume sizes. For Planmeca Viso™ G7, volume sizes can be adjusted freely between 3x3 and 30x30, while Planmeca Viso™ G5 supports volume sizes from 3x3 to 20x17 cm.
Patient positioning is done directly from the Planmeca Viso’s control panel utilising integrated cameras and a live patient view. You can see the patient live from the control panel for flexible and exact FOV positioning. The volume size can also be adjusted freely from.
Planmeca Viso offers a wide volume selection to cover all clinical needs – from a single tooth to a full skull. It lets you acquire single scans covering the entire maxillofacial area without the need for stitching, as the large sensor can capture a single-rotation CBCT scan that is 19 cm high. The unit’s 3D sensor is also fully capable of 2D imaging.
Planmeca Viso has introduced a new way of capturing Planmeca ProFace® facial photos. The unit’s sensor has four built-in cameras and LED light strips for capturing highly detailed 3D photographs. You can combine them with intraoral scans and CBCT images of your patient to enrich 3D treatment plans – creating a virtual patient.
Planmeca Viso’s 120 kV tube voltage option enables optimised quality for challenging imaging cases – reducing artefacts and ensuring higher contrast images.
Our intelligent Planmeca CALM™ movement correction algorithm is excellent for imaging patients who have a difficult time remaining completely still. It eliminates the need for retakes by cancelling the effects of patient movement.
Planmeca PlanID™ is our sign-in system for identifying users and allowing them to access their personalised settings quickly and conveniently with a flash of a card. In particular, large clinics and chains can benefit from knowing when, how and by whom the unit has been used.
Planmeca Viso’s occipital support provides stability without compromising patient comfort. The new support does not cover a patient’s ears in a 3D face photograph and can also be used without the chin cup thanks to the Planmeca CALM movement artefact correction algorithm.
All our CBCT units offer the unique Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ imaging protocol. It allows clinicians to acquire 3D images at significantly lower effective patient doses without a statistical reduction in image quality.
Planmeca Viso can be equipped with a Planmeca ProCeph™ one-shot cephalostat. One-shot ceph acquisition takes less than a second and eliminates the risk of patient movement. It is particularly beneficial when imaging young children and other patients that have a tendency to move during imaging.
