Planmeca Romexis® Ortho Simulator is an intuitive software module for orthodontic simulation. It allows using Planmeca Emerald® S intraoral scans to reveal the true potential of a patient’s smile in a matter of minutes. The intelligent algorithm of Romexis Ortho Simulator produces treatment simulations for the most common orthodontic indications, motivating patients of the benefits of clear aligner and other orthodontic treatments alike.
Patient motivation and communication through 3D simulation
Romexis Ortho Simulator facilitates easy and effective communication of the benefits of orthodontic treatments, including aligners and other appliances, to patients. Patients no longer need to guess the outcome of the orthodontic treatment as the results can be discussed together with the dentist using a visual side-by-side view, which shows the current status and the simulated treatment goal. The intuitive tools allow for adapting simulation results based on the individual preferences of doctors and patients or even creating simulations from scratch.
Automatic orthodontic simulation with one click
Romexis Ortho Simulator supports all common orthodontic indications and creates simulations within minutes after scanning with the Planmeca Emerald S intraoral scanner. The simulation result is not a real treatment plan, but a realistic-looking dentition and a smile that can be used as a basis for treatment planning discussions with the patient.
Manual fine-tunings
In case of a difficult bite, e.g. a scan including several missing teeth or multiple orthodontic indications, the intuitive and easy-to-use manual simulation tools can be used for either fine-tuning the results or even for creating simulations from the patient’s current dentition.
Automatic tooth segmentation and axis detection
Romexis Ortho Simulator detects, numbers and segments teeth and tooth axes automatically in just a few minutes. It also enables the user to mark the teeth that are not to be moved in the simulation as implants.
