Planmeca provides cutting-edge solutions in dental technology, ranging from innovative dental care units and imaging devices to CAD/CAM systems and comprehensive dentistry software. Together, the Planmeca Group companies offer a full portfolio of premium-quality products and services for healthcare technology, enabling them to meet the diverse needs of dental and medical professionals across various specialties and regions. Their joint commitment to long-term development of product innovations, sustainable practices, and customer-first philosophy is also reflected in the new showroom at the Planmeca Group headquarters – it is not just a display space but a hub for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.
The new facilities are expected to serve visitors even more effectively than before. The Helsinki showroom hosts more than 1,500 visitors each year, the majority consisting of end customers, distributors, and technicians. The visit programme is always tailored to match each group’s specific interests, level of familiarity with the technologies, and potential future projects. However, a consistent highlight across all visits is the opportunity for attendees to get hands-on experience with Planmeca products, exploring their features up close and gaining practical insight into how the technology works.
A wide selection of products to explore
The newly redesigned showroom provides excellent facilities for this. Designed with visitor experience in mind, the showroom provides optimal conditions for exploring Planmeca’s broad product selection, including digital dental units, X-ray devices, software, and CAD/CAM solutions. Additionally, the spaces dedicated to workshops and user training have been upgraded.
The renewed showroom was officially launched on Friday, 22 August 2025, with an opening event for Planmeca Group employees. The event featured a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by Heikki Kyöstilä, Founder and President of Planmeca Group, alongside Tomi Kyöstilä, Vice President of Business Development of Planmeca, and Jouko Nykänen, Senior Vice President of Planmeca ‒ pictured in the header image (middle, left and right, respectively).
Following the opening words from Heikki Kyöstilä, guests enjoyed a variety of activities both inside the showroom and out in the courtyard. A key feature of the programme was the demonstration areas where guests had the chance to try out Planmeca’s technology in action, including Romexis® VR, Planmeca ProFace™ photo demonstration, Planmeca x SIMtoCARE Dente haptic simulation, and model scanning with Planmeca’s intraoral scanners. These stations were popular, offering a valuable opportunity to engage with the devices and software, even for those whose daily work does not typically involve direct interaction with this technology.
During the event, guests were also free to explore the newly redesigned showroom and familiarize themselves with its key features, including a more spacious layout, a dedicated presentation screen for live demonstrations, and improved display solutions for highlighting individual products.
The spacious showroom can easily accommodate even larger groups
The renovation of the showroom was driven by the clear purpose of creating a space that serves customers better than ever before. Planmeca is looking forward to a busy autumn and is excited to see the new showroom actively in use to support a wide range of occasions, from training sessions to events that highlight the latest innovations across the product portfolio.
At the forefront, Planmed XFI® ‒ a full-body weight-bearing CBCT system for orthopedic imaging
In addition to Planmeca products, the showroom also displays CBCT and mammography technology from Planmed, as well as instruments from KaVo and LM-Dental, expanding the range of products on display and making the space of interest to a broader professional audience in both dental and medical fields.
