The Finnish Dental Association has been fortifying and supervising the professional, economic, and societal interests of dental professionals in Finland since 6 December 1924. The association works towards improving oral health care and the treatment of tooth and oral pathology, advances ethical values in the industry, as well as promotes dialogue between industry organisations and professionals on current topics.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the renowned organisation, Planmeca and Plandent Division have made a joint donation of €100,000 to the association. The funds will be directed towards improving and educating dental professionals on ergonomics and occupational wellbeing.

“Since the founding of the organisation in 1924, the Finnish Dental Association has been nothing short of instrumental in advancing oral health and care in Finland,” states Heikki Kyöstilä, Founder and President of Planmeca Group. “It is a great honour to stand side by side with this eminent profession and do our part in supporting the important work done by the association to educate dental professionals and drive dentistry forward.”

“Our key mission at the Finnish Dental Association is to help dentists succeed throughout their career through expert advice and support. Occupational wellbeing in the dental industry is one of the key issues in our recently updated strategy for the years 2025–2029. We are grateful for this significant contribution,” says Henna Virtomaa, Executive Director at the Finnish Dental Association.

The donation was made public at the association’s Anniversary Seminar on 29 November 2024.
