COURSE DESCRIPTION

Implementing a new digital workflow touches many areas of your practice. Our approach to CAD/CAM training is to provide a solid foundation for dental professionals and their staff members, then continually build upon this knowledge over the course of a year and beyond.

This 2-day hands-on course will benefit new users of our Planmeca FIT® complete CAD/CAM solution as well as dentists and staff that want to optimize their techniques and tools. During this course, you will gain the experience necessary to implement the complete digital workflow from intraoral scanning, designing a variety of restorations, finishing and understand the different types of materials for milling.

OBJECTIVES

  • Review equipment and functionality for optimum CAD/CAM results.
  • Learn preparation guidelines with recommended materials and clinical protocols.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The first half of this 4-hour virtual course is designed to provide a basic foundation in reading 3D radiographs in a dental setting. The second half focuses on implant treatment planning skills. It provides a strong overview of digital dentistry using the latest technology.

CBCT Basics, Interpretation and Implant Workflow

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 2-day hands-on course is designed for both new CBCT users and others who wish to enhance their diagnostic and implant planning skills. It provides a strong foundation in CBCT principles, interpretation, and takes a deep dive into the complete digital implant workflow from a restoratively driven prospective. Attendees will work on multiple implant cases from a simple single site implant to more complex scenarios.

OBJECTIVES

  • Review the principles of CBCT technology, radiation, dose and how to systematically review a CBCT scan and interpret findings
  • How to identify anatomic landmarks in CBCT
  • Review how a CBCT can be utilized for different clinical applications with hands-on examples

CAD/CAM - From Block to Beautiful: Making Magic with e.max

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is geared towards general dentists and prosthodontists who are interested in utilizing CAD/CAM software to restore anterior teeth to maintain or improve the overall esthetics of the patient.

Topics include:

  • Review principles of adhesive dentistry and material properties of bondable ceramics with an emphasis on e.max.
  • Learn preparation principles for common conservative anterior preparations such as veneers, ¾ crowns and cingulum preservation preparations.
  • Work on typodont teeth altered to simulate clinical situations requiring restoration using the above preparations and to include how to design a single central incisor.
  • Discuss how digital photography plays a key role in anterior CAD/CAM procedures.
  • Execute the workflow for creating these restorations, from prep to delivery.
  • Review and practice adding stain, glaze and texture to anterior ceramics to allow them to blend in seamlessly.
