Planmeca donates to University of Eastern Finland

Finnish dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca is participating in the Invest in a bright future (Tiedosta hyvä tulevaisuus) campaign of the University of Eastern Finland by donating €100,000 to the study of medicine and pharmacy at the university. The University of Eastern Finland has a long history of collaboration with Planmeca in both educational solutions and research in the field of dentistry.

“Quality education, research investments and cooperation between different parties are the cornerstones of technological expertise and development. We have collaborated on many different projects with the University of Eastern Finland and are convinced that our donation will help continue the fine work being done there,” says Planmeca Group founder and President Heikki Kyöstilä.

For nearly half a century, Planmeca has advanced patient care in dentistry all over the world with health care solutions developed and manufactured in Finland.

“Strong expertise and product development are the keys to international success. Finland is a pioneer in high technology and that is what Planmeca wants the country to be in the future as well. We believe that by investing in Finnish expertise and education we are moving the entire dental and health care industry forward,” Kyöstilä states.

The donation is already the ninth of its kind to the study of medicine and pharmacy in the university’s fundraising campaign. The campaign will conclude by the end of June 2017.
