Planmeca 4D™ Jaw Motion
Real-time jaw movement tracking – in 3D
Planmeca 4D™ Jaw Motion is the only true CBCT integrated solution for tracking, visualising, and analysing jaw movement in 3D. It offers incomparable visualisation of mandibular 3D movements in real-time – creating a fourth dimension in diagnostics.
Unique jaw motion tracking
After acquiring a CBCT image with a Planmeca 3D unit with the patient wearing dedicated tracking devices, integrated Planmeca ProFace® cameras are used to track lower jaw movements in relation to the upper jaw.
Comprehensive measurements and visualisations
Planmeca 4D Jaw Motion allows measuring and visualising the movement paths of points of interest in frontal, sagittal, and axial movement graphs and in 3D.
Part of the Planmeca Romexis® software
All movements are visualised in the Planmeca Romexis® imaging software in real-time. They can also be stored for later analysis or other use.
Easy exports
Movement and measurement information is easy to export to 3rd party software for further analyses and treatment planning. Both XML and CSV file formats are supported.
Applications
Due to its capability to visualise mandibular jaw and condyle movement, Planmeca 4D Jaw Motion can be a supporting tool for temporomandibular (TMD) examinations, preoperative planning and postoperative treatment verifications, as well as articulator programming.
