Planmeca ProFace™ is a 3D facial photo option available for all Planmeca ProMax 3D units that produces a realistic 3D face photo in addition to maxillofacial radiography. One imaging session generates both a 3D photo and a CBCT volume; or, if required, the radiation-free 3D facial photo can be acquired separately.
Faster and safer facial surgery
The 3D photo visualizes soft tissue in relation to dentine and facial bones. Because both a CBCT image and a 3D facial photo are generated in one imaging session, the patient position, facial expression, and muscle position remain unchanged; this results in images that are perfectly compatible every time.
A Planmeca 3D X-ray unit completed with Planmeca ProFace™ is the first CBCT unit with integrated 3D surface scan.
Only one imaging session is required to create both a 3D photo and a CBCT volume.
The 3D facial photo can also be acquired separately in a 100% radiation-free process for use in dedicated orthodontic, maxillofacial, and plastic surgery planning software.
