The compact and ergonomic Planmeca Emerald® S intraoral scanner offers a particularly smooth and comfortable scanning experience for you and your patients. The scanner captures digital impressions efficiently, allowing a capable user to capture a full arch in well under a minute. Completed scans are stored in the Planmeca Romexis® software and immediately available for further use.

Planmeca Emerald S offers supports a wide variety of workflows of several specialities, including prosthodontics, orthodontics and implantology. With the scanner, you can easily scan single teeth, quadrants and full arches and use them for patient documentation and communication, treatment planning or dental restoration and application design. You can either complete the entire workflow in house or collaborate with external partners at any point. The choice is entirely yours!

Tips for diverse needs

In addition to the scanner’s ergonomic standard tip, Planmeca Emerald S also has an even thinner tip available. The SlimLine tip is ideal for patients with smaller mouths and makes reaching posterior teeth and capturing interproximal areas easier. Both tips are autoclavable.

Compatible with orthodontic and sleep apnoea solution providers

Planmeca Emerald S is approved by a wide range of orthodontic solution providers, allowing you to enjoy and take advantage of a completely digital orthodontic workflow. Thanks to the compatibility, the intraoral scan data can be used for orthodontic treatment planning as well as for creating brackets and clear aligners. Furthermore, Planmeca Emerald S is compatible with several service providers offering sleep apnoea devices.

Plug-and-play connectivity

The convenient USB connection of Planmeca Emerald S supports fast data transfers and allows the scanner to be easily shared between different treatment rooms – just like any other dental instrument. The scanner can either be connected to a laptop or a Planmeca dental unit. The integration with a dental unit allows you to operate the scanner from the foot control, leaving your hands free for scanning and patient treatment.

Lifetime user licence

Planmeca Emerald S has a lifetime user licence ensuring you can fully concentrate on scanning without having to worry about any hidden annual or monthly subscription fees. The scanner is easy to upgrade with software updates that regularly introduce new features and further enhance the usability and performance of the scanner.

Easy imports and exports

Built on an open platform, Planmeca Emerald S allows you to connect the data to your chairside equipment or swiftly share the intraoral scans with others – entirely without click fees. The scanner supports imports and exports in open STL and PLY file formats, facilitating easy collaboration with dental laboratories and other partners. With Romexis® Cloud, you can easily send your intraoral scans or other types of image data to dental laboratories, which they can receive and view through our secure Romexis® LabApp application.

Customise with colour

With interchangeable soft covers available in several vibrant colours, Planmeca Emerald S can be matched with the colour scheme of your practice. In addition to the elegant emerald green the scanner is best known for, the new scanner is also available in pink, blue and grey.
