Planmeca Compact i Classic is an ideal choice for the needs of general dentistry – a cost-effective dental unit with all basic functionalities.
Basic unit and instrument functions
Planmeca Compact i Classic has a traditional membrane keyboard with only the basic unit, instrument and infection control functions. A keyboard is also available for the assistant suction arm to provide easy and ergonomic use.
Durable aluminium console
The dental unit keyboard is integrated in the new and robust aluminium console. As surface material, aluminium is very durable and tolerates well disinfectants used in the dental clinic.
Predefined instrument range
Planmeca Compact i Classic is offered with a predefined instrument range. It covers all basic instruments including seamlessly integrated electric micromotors. All instrument adjustments can be done conveniently from the dental unit keyboard. The instrumentation can also be extended with electric scaler, LED polymerization light and intraoral camera.

Perfectly balanced instrument arms
The balanced instrument arms guarantee ergonomic instrument use since only a tiny movement is sufficient to activate the instrument. Alternatively, Planmeca Compact i Classic can be equipped with hanging tube instruments.
Functional design
The side-lifting chair and small cuspidor base maximize the legroom for both the dentist and assistant. The lean and narrow backrest design provides an excellent access to the patient’s mouth.
New foot control
The new and robust foot control provides all necessary functions and makes them easily available.
Excellent patient comfort
The dental unit comes with a manual headrest and fixed legrest. The double articulated headrest allows comfortable positioning of the patient’s head. Due to the smooth headrest length adjustment, the chair can be easily adapted for different-sized patients. The chair with fixed legrest provides excellent patient comfort and uniform upholstery.
