New features for Planmeca Romexis

The latest version of Planmeca Romexis includes several new features designed to smoothen the daily workflow. The software ensures full Apple compatibility for all Planmeca X-ray units, and also introduces novel 3D Implant Verification tool.

Planmeca is the first dental equipment manufacturer to offer Mac OS operating system support for all its X-ray units at the clinic. Whichever the diagnostic requirement, the images can be acquired, viewed, processed and stored in Mac OS environment.

What is more, all 2D and 3D images can be sent to iPhone and iPad simply with one click. This feature is currently supported with OsiriX Mobile, and it allows viewing, rotating and zooming of images and measuring distances.

The renewed 2D Image Browser provides the user with a selection of multiple views, allowing the user to view all images in form of zoomable groups, a table list and a carousel to name a few.

Accurate implant planning is enhanced with true implant models from several manufacturers and a 3D Implant Verification tool for planning and evaluating the fit of the implant. The verification tool visualises slice views and average HU-values in proximity of the implant, thus visualising the implant in relation to the surrounding anatomy.
